Well i use my fow tattos armor for bonding in SF and it works well; I never get any hit (only conj. phantom every once in a while) so armor level doesn't really matter. Just stay a little back in GF and you'll be really fine.
I won't tell you my exact skill bar (i'm mesmer 2ndary to help killing monk bosses) but i don't take essence bond, I feel it's a wasted slot and balthazar spirit+blessed signet gives me plenty of energy (I usually mantain 6-7 enchantments).
Life barrier IS worth getting (at least if you go with a pug so they don't whyne cause you don't have it MoP worked well too in my early experiments).
About attributes level I put 9 in divine to meet requirement for my staff ( I like to help dealing a little dmg and I get back 15 nrg with blessed sig), max on prot, 11 on healing (I am setup so that if healer leaves I can still keep up the party) and the rest (5 usually) on Domination Magic for my skills vs. monk bosses.
Never had anyone complaining about my role, successfully managed to complete runs even when tank and healer left. I won't share my actual skill bar which took my some experimentations but it's not too difficult to come up with a good build, SF is pretty easy.

With the amount of energy you gain from blessed Sig and Balth's Spirit, I find that max energy is not too important. When in GF, I use full Judges, and +10 armor from weapons. Shit happens, and when it does I'm able to take more of a beating than most. When I get inside SF, I change weapons and armor around a little, but even there, I find it just dosn't matter.
Because Life Barrier reduces all incomming damage, I'd say it is essensial to a SF bonder.
My skill build is:
Healing Touch (Maybe this could be replaced with Heal Area)
Mend Condition (Nice healing, and keeps people from conplaining)
Blessed Sig
Dwayna's Kiss (The single best 5e heal for SF runs)
Life Barrier
Life Bond
Balth's Spirit
Life Atunement, or Rebirth
14 or 15 Healing with a sup healing on.
Enough Pront for 46% Life Barrier with a pront rune on. I typicaly only put this on when casting Atunement, Barrier and Bond.
Rest Divine. Sup rune is used sometimes, not vital, but never 3 sups at once.
In GF, I just keep Life Bond on everyone, since most of the damage is physical. I don't typicaly use Barrier or Atunement in GF, but if someone is in trouble I'll throw something more on them.
Once inside SF, I cast enchants in this order on the tank: Barrier, Atunement, Bond, Balth's, and then balth's on myself. No enchants on other players are nessacary.
I've been able to complete the orozar quest once without a tank, and once without a healing monk. (And thankfully those are the only chances I got)

Like most things GW, it depends. PvE, in my opinion, can be handled with Tats 99% of the time and therefore SHOULD be handled with tats for the energy bonus. There are exceptions, which brings us to the reasoning behind my "depends" answer (..chuckle...just thought of the commercial on that statement...).
PvP and intense agro areas can best be handled with the Judges set IMHO. I bought a chest and leg piece I use for these situations. If the group does a fairly good job of keeping the nasties away from me and I'm doing a decent job of staying away from the nasties, then I'll only use only the leg or chest judges set and the rest tatoo's.
I would NOT recommend all judges no matter what...I would strongly recommend that tat's be used on the arms and feet, and that if you can afford both tats and judges buy one of each for the chest and legs.

cool skill sets, does anyoen use RoF? I find that to be a sick little healer, i use
barrier/bond/aegis/mend ailment/rof/sig of mana thing/rebirth/balth spirit.
should I dump aegis? it seems to help
i go 16 pro/13 div/4 healing with + mods final.
I got div for the mana boost signet thing, otherwise I could heal.. but I dunno. RoF works wonders sometimes, it can heal up to 84 damage, for like 9 seconds. It is basically like the mark of protection elite.
RoF has been my MVP healer, while not healing so far.

If I'm the only one who's putting Essence Bond on the tank inside SF I'll bring Aegis and Guardian to cover it. If other party members are planning on using Essence Bond then I bring RoF as a spammable and one other skill (depends on my mood or what the team wants -- usually something as a last resort interrupt for enemy resers).
I always use tats I'll have to invest in the Judges pieces mentioned above and try them out!
For farming, outside of SF: Life Barrier then Life Bond to tank, Balth's Spirit on self, Life Barrier to everyone, Life Bond to everyone (9 enchantments). Use Blessed Sig whenever you can and DON'T GET RUST (stay back). It's overkill and not a lot of prot monks do it. But 1) the group appreciates it, and 2) it's fun!
For farming, inside of SF: Life Barrier, Life Bond, and Essence Bond to tank, Balth's Spirit on self, Life Bond to everyone (7 enchantments). With this degen you can easily cast Aegis/Guardian/RoF/insert other skill here to your heart's desire.
Outside of farming in PvE I generally use Life Bond with Balth's Spirit and chain Aegises until the cows come home.

Yes if you can't pay the cost of the enchantments they will be taken off from last you casted since you have a neutral mana regen. That's why blessed signet is a must.

I use Mend Condition, because I can use it to heal the tank while inside SF. The only time you'll be hit with conditions on a SF run is in GF, and even there, it's just a little bleeding. ;P
Eh, I suspose by that logic, I should use Orision, and not Healing Touch. Meh.
Theres quite a few skills that I see pront monks bringing to SF, but I just don't feel have a good use. RoF for starters. With the amount of damage the tank is taking after Barrier+Bond+whatever armors, the odds of RoF healing for anything substantial are slim. Ageis, eh, the tank should have plenty block stances of his own, which can be kept up more often than Ageis, same goes for Guardian.
Once inside, how often do you see people get physicaly hit? Almost never, and thats only when they agro ahead of the tank. They rarely hold the agro. I find bonding everyone an exercise in futility, since they're just walking targets for enchant strips.

When I'm a bonder, I like maintaining 6 enchants while in SF...4 on the warrior, 2 on me...It's really easy and not skill heavy...I switch mend ailment and mend condition alot, depending on how much faith i have in the healer (=/)
Guardian (spam spam spam...especially on those tanks that bring no stances)
mend condition/mend ailment
Rebirth
Life Barrier
Life Bond
Holy Viel (this skill is an AMAZING cover enchant)
Balthazars Spirit
Blessed Signet
When outside of SF, I use a bond on everyone and holy viel on the tank and balthazars spirit on myself...the rest is self explanatory
When inside SF, I use Life barrier, then life bond, then balthazars spirit, then holy viel ALL on the tank...this ensures he doesn't run into energy problems and has 2 cover enchants...and on myself I cast balthazars spirit followed by holy viel to cover it (if balthazars spirit gets ripped it causes energy problems...so protect it)
Attributes- 16 protection, 13 divine
sometimes if a minion master needs help on energy i bring blood ritual...but thats hardly ever (and really shouldn't be needed).
I prefer not using bonders in PvP

16/17(Worths rod and icon) protection
9 Smiting(for rod)
rest Divine
Blessed Signet
Aegis
Mend Condition
Zealots
Life Bond
Life barrier
Essence
Rebirth
When your stance tank is good this is a great way to rip hp's off the mobs. You need only keep your enchants on the tank (i life Bond the other monk as well) and keep zealots up....spam the hell out of Mend on the tank while they have the mobs aggro.....
I actually carry 2 sets...Judges and Asthetics...with all my Sups in judges for 55'in. Then i can mix and match according to group and mission from there.
